Children’s groups at the daycare:
An organization designed for each child’s development

Within our daycare, we welcome children from 3 months to 4 years of age, with a maximum of 7 children per group, in a caring, safe, and stimulating environment. The organization of the children’s groups is a key pillar of our educational approach. It is thoughtfully designed to support each child’s overall development while respecting their individual rhythm, personality, needs, and the parents’ educational approach.

We intentionally work with small groups and limited numbers of children, ensuring that each child receives the attention, availability, and support they need from our educational team.

A thoughtful, balanced organization in small groups

Rather than grouping children strictly by age, they are organized into three balanced and carefully composed groups, all with limited numbers. This structure creates a positive group dynamic, where every child can feel secure, confident, and supported.

Group composition takes into account:

The child’s age and developmental stage
Motor, social, and emotional skills
Personality and individual needs
Overall group dynamics
Small group sizes allow our educators to provide individualized support, while encouraging social interaction and community life.

Three mixed-age groups

We support each child individually, respecting their pace and encouraging confidence, curiosity and independence in a caring environment.

A group focused on emotional security and early learning

This group offers a calm and reassuring environment, where emotional security is a priority. Thanks to the small number of children, educators can:

  • build strong bonds with each child,
  • ensure emotional safety,
  • encourage sensory exploration,
  • respect individual routines (sleep, meals, quiet moments).

The presence of children of different ages fosters empathy, imitation, and gentle interaction.

A group encouraging exploration and social interaction

This group emphasizes active discovery and interaction in a stimulating, child-centered environment. Activities support:

  • free movement,
  • independent exploration,
  • cooperation and communication,
  • language development through play and imitation.

Small group sizes allow educators to closely observe each child and adapt activities to their needs.

A group supporting autonomy and community life

This group helps children develop independence, confidence, and social skills, while remaining within a secure and attentive framework. The goals include:

  • encouraging initiative,
  • supporting emotional expression,
  • learning group rules and cooperation,
  • fostering creativity and imagination.

Mixed ages and small group settings strengthen peer support and create a calm, respectful atmosphere.

Benefits of small, balanced groups in daycare

Choosing small, mixed-age groups offers many advantages:

increased individual attention
high-quality educational support
harmonious emotional, social, and motor development
a calm and secure environment
Each child benefits from both personalized care and the richness of group life.
